2019 okc mlk tee shirtThe 2019 OKC Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Coalition tee shirt now available and can be purchased at our upcoming events. Look for the table at the Cross Cultural program on Sunday Jan. 20 at Temple B’Nai, and on Monday at the Prayer Breakfast and at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral where the Holiday Program takes place.

The design features our 2019 theme “We are CommUNITY.” The shirts are just $12 each and help support our work.

2019 MLK Coalition Job Fair will connect job seekers and companies

The 2019 MLK Coalition Job Fair will be from 9 AM to 1 PM on January 21, 2019 at Douglass High School in Oklahoma City. The Job Fair coordinator this year is Denise Hyche.

“Our January 2018 job fair was a success.  We are expecting the January 2019 job fair to be even greater as we anticipate more employers and more job seekers,” Ms. Hyche said.

Businesses and organizations are invited to participate as a sponsor and/or an exhibitor.  We have room for 30 exhibitors so register as a sponsor or exhibitor now.  Registration fees are $200 for private companies and $150 for government/educational/non-profit companies.  Payment can be mailed to the address below.  Credit card payments can also be made by contacting our treasurer, Winard Brown, at  (405) 410-7740 (cell) or email  treasurer2019@nullokcmlk.org.

Parade Marshalls needed for 2018 Parade

Event date: January 15, 2018    

The Martin Luther King Holiday Coalition is seeking volunteers to work as Parade Marshalls for the upcoming Holiday Parade. Parade marshalls will meet at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral at NW 7th and Robinson. Duties will consist of either being posted in the staging area or walking along parade route for the purpose of preventing pedestrians or vehicles from entering the parade. Parking will be provided south of the church. Volunteers will be provided with refreshments and MLK T-Shirts. To volunteer, contact William Jones, 405-306-8440.
